What does ABBA stand for?
ABBA is an acronym for American Baptists for Biblical Authority.
What is an American Baptist?
American Baptist Pastor Nick Quient answers that question in this brief video below from YouTube.
How can I join ABBA?
Find your local ABCUSA church and fellowship with us on Discord.
What resources does ABBA provide?
We offer guidance, support, and Baptist resources.
How does ABBA support community?
We foster a committed community through shared beliefs.
Why not just leave the ABCUSA?
We understand the rationale behind and sympathize with conservative withdrawal, but instead we encourage sustained conservative engagement from within the ABCUSA.
Is ABBA a new denomination?
No. We are not an external group seeking to be an institutional authority outside of the ABCUSA, but instead an advocacy movement from within.
What about historic Baptist freedoms?
We hold to an orthodox approach to faith and practice, but do not wish to impose specific individual theological ideas outside of first-tier issues such as the need for salvation or the divinity of Christ. This practice is often called “theological triage” and below is a great video about it with a brief explanation from YouTube.
Where can I find a beautiful Baptist church near me?
Beyond our map of ABCUSA and other mainline historic churches, ABBA is creating our own gallery of beautiful Baptist church buildings. Please submit your Gothic, Victorian, or other Classic architecture-styled Baptist church to our Discord community for consideration or view the current gallery here.
